Felix Walroud performs concerts and forms, with his wife Carol Eskes,
a musical duo on steeldrums. Together they are "Nos Dos"
In their repertoire they alternate classical music with South American
music and pieces taken from operas, that are appreciated by many.
The duo uses a lot of chamber music by old masters such as Bach, Beethoven
and Mozart, written for violin but executed on steeldrums.
They perform for companies in The Netherlands and Belgium, playing at
dinners, at exhibitions and other events that require that the music does
not dominate!!
 
Nos Dos have their own sound installations to provide accompaniment,
where necessary.

Felix Walroud, born in Curaçao Juni 25th 1944, formed his first
steelband when he was 13 years of age using self-made steeldrums. He soon
performed for radio and television. When Felix was 15 years he already
gave tuition to the steelband of the Royal Marine Corps (Koninklijke Marine)
in Curaçao.
At age 20 Felix came to The Netherlands at the advise of H.M. Queen Juliana,
where he performed with many and diverse groups whilst also holding a
job down. In 1979 Felix met the classical pianist Kees Eskes, who would
become his brother-in-law; in that year he started his solo career. He
grew into a professional musician, gained his diploma "Professor
World Music", and became well known in the "Hilversum Circles"
(recording studios). He was getting regular Radio & TV time and performed
a lot of studio work. Amongst other things Felix works as teacher at the
steelband of the Netherlands Police Orchester in Driebergen and he has
been a teacher for 10 years with the steelband of the Corps Marines (Korps
Mariniers) in Rotterdam.

Carol was originally a violinist. The duo uses much chamber music by
old masters such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, written for violin but
executed on steeldrums. They alternate classical music with South American
repertoire and pieces of operas, that are loved by many. They perform
for companies in The Netherlands and in Belgium, they play at dinners,
at embassys, exhibits and many other events, where it is required that
the music does not dominate!! NosDos also perform in intermezzos during
shows and such events.
Nos Dos have their own sound processing facilities that provides rithmic
accompaniment, where necessary.
